Starting out in Archery...

Well. you've made it this far!

Archery is a wonderful sport and most people can take part to some degree or other with the right support... Remember that in the 2008 Paralympics the UK came away with a fantastic two gold medals, a silver and a bronze.

Beginner course graduatesn

If you fancy trying archery you will normally need to join a club local to you; however, you will also need to undergo a recognised syllabus of training referred to as a Beginner's Course. Most clubs offer these courses over the winter or early spring, miss this window and you may have to wait for the following year for the next.

At ACE we can provide Beginner Courses throughout the year. Your course will be run by fully qualified Archery GB coaches* and you will be issued a completion certificate when you finish the course that you can then present to your local club for membership.

All equipment is provided by ACE for the duration of the course.

*some clubs rely on club-archers to teach beginners due to non-availability of qualified coaches within the club, whilst this is not necessarily a bad thing it could suggest that the standard of teaching may not be to a nationally recognized level.
